We would like to install SL on a special-purpose board computer 
(VMIVME-7805), but it invariably locks up (with loss of video) when 
booting up at around the point where the display is activated, including 
in single-user mode. We have tried a variety of Fedora-based 
distributions with the same result and have tried various boot options 
without success. We are able to install Knoppix, but would prefer to use SL.

We'd appreciate advice from anyone familiar with this particular problem 
or general troubleshooting ideas.
