With the server running SL 3.0.4, nfs-utils-1.0.6-33EL, a user is
trying to nfs-mount /home from the server to a Mac running MacOS 10.4.
The client IP address is in the export list for /home in /etc/exports,
and also is allowed access to portmap in /etc/hosts.allow. The attempt
fails consistently with "Operation not permitted" reported on the Mac
side. On the server side, error messages like the following appear in
/var/log/messages:

Oct 24 10:34:55 server kernel: nfsd: request from insecure port (8dd98354:49208)!

Does anyone know what this error might mean?

Thanks in advance.
