The posted SRPM is the one we used for building the published packages.

We utilize koji for SL6.  Koji uses mock for the actual builds, so I would 
encourage you to try building within mock.

Mock packages can be found in EPEL.
SL 6 compatible mock configs can be found in the sl-addons repo 
(http://ftp1.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/6x/addons/)
