that kernel is vulnerable to CVE-2014-9322 and needs to be updated to at

We are running UGE 8.2.1 (in pre-production with not so much statistics,
though). Kernel is 2.6.32-504.8.1 here. We haven't observed this
behaviour, yet. You should definitely open a ticket at Univa. Maybe they
already received complaints from others and know a workaround or even
have updated packages. That's what you are paying for, imho.

... but, of course, update your kernel first!
