What should I erase here?  These seem to be all from the newer 
(non-distro) version.

I think I did this:

	removed the distribution openoffice with yumex
	ran the installer from the tarball 
		OOo_2.3.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz
		(It put stuff in /opt)
then
	pup came up offering to re-install the old distro version
then
	I wrote to the mailing list

But I have been through this before, that's how I know not to do
what pup suggests.
