Although it doesn't fix very much for RHEL5 clones (and F7 worked for me
anyway), thanks!

The hibernation fix was somehow easy for me (I don't know what other modules
to unload by people who still get I/O write errors upon suspend-to-disk), but
I am going to give up using any RHEL 5 clone on my Acer TravelMate 5310,
because it's completely clueless when comes to DVD/CD writing speeds, and
it's actually very troublesome: see
http://beranger.org/index.php?page=diary&2007/10/22/07/35/15-what-is-the-dvd-burning-speed-of

And you can be sure that I tried (since I was exploring the hibernation
issue): SL 5, CentOS 5, StartCom 5, X/OS 5...

Rgds,
R-C
