Hi,

some of our users are concerned about a bug in the latest thunderbird
1.5.0.8:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360409
http://kb.mozillazine.org/New_messages_do_not_appear

The bug seems to have the effect that some mails do not appear in
thunderbird. Even worse, these mails can be completely lost, if the user
compact the folder. This bug will be fixed not before 1.5.0.9 has been
released.

Has somebody observed this bug? The bug seems not to affect mails in a
IMAP Inbox - but I'm not 100% sure.
Should the users downgrade to 1.5.0.7? What's your opinion?
