Hi there,
I noticed that on SL 6.1 the MANPATH gets gobbled when an environment
module is loaded and the MANPATH was empty. The solution as suggested
here [1] is to set the MANPATH to its default in /etc/profile.d, i.e.
cat /etc/profile.d/00_manpath.sh
export MANPATH=`manpath`
and something similar for csh users. I suppose this could also be set at
the top of /etc/profile.d/modules.sh
