Adobe has finally released the updated version of acroread for SL5, but this
version does not run on SL4 or SL3.

However, I see that Redhat has released a patched version of acroread-8.1.4
for RHEL 3 and 4, available only through RHN. Is there any hope of getting
patched versions of acroread for SL3 and 4? CERN packages an rpm of acroread
8.1.2 for SLC4, but that was released last December, and so doesn't address
the latest PDF security issue.

Is there any hope of getting a patched acroread for SL3 and SL4? What's the
legal deal with binary only rpms that get released to RHEL extras? I suppose
that they can't be redistributed by SL?

Thanks,
