Hi!

I was going to install an ix86 system on a hdd connected to my x86_64 computer via usb, in order to use it in a 32 bit computer afterwards.
Pas de problème, one might think.
So I downloaded an iso named SL-61-i386-2011-07-27-Install-DVD.iso.
Anyway, the boot loader shows a kernel name ending with *x86_64. (In a whim, I tried editing the kernel name, changing the x86_64 part to i386, which of course did not work ;-)
I do not know whether this is just a spelling mistake or if it indeed boots a 64 bit system, which would be kind of a big fail.
I hope it is just a spelling mistake, I think I will not find out, but nevertheless, maybe someone could have a quick look at it.

I'm going to try the installation anyway. The packages included in the iso appear to be i686 packages (so, why, exactly, is the iso called i_3_86? nevermind), so it possibly will work.

I just subscribed to this mailing list to post this because I found no faster way of telling anyone, actually, I don't really have time for this, so pleeeease don't eat me if you think I'm stupid :-)

Have a nice day!

Leonie.
