We have our own mirror so it doesn't really matter to me.
I've had problems (sorry can't remember the details off hand)
with mirrors not being up to date.
If you make the default mirrorlist it would be important that every
mirror in it is updated frequently - could you automatically check
and remove mirrors from the list if/when they aren't sufficiently
up to date ?
