The manufacturers don't tend to publish, but I've kept a spare
USB-100BaseT adapter in my laptob bag for *years* for just such
situations. Given away several to colleagues facing just your
predicaatment, and all the ones I bought at Radio Shack or Staples or
similar outlets Just Worked(tm) everh since.... oh, my, RHEL 4, before
I was using Scientific Linux?
