Hello!

Erroneously I posted this message not as new topic but as a
reply for another message. I'll repost it as the new topic.
Sorry for creating this double-posting.

By the way, I'll add some additional information, thanks to
Christian Mertes for providing this additional info.

So, now the problem...

We discovered recently that upgrade to SL 6.7 broke ferret.

Trying to plot with ferret give a false-transparent window (the
window that get some screenshot of desktop image that is located
behind it) and does not show the results of plot.
My explanation is a little buggy, so I send a png-file with
screenshot in attachment.

After some research we found that the problem come from
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.15.0-36.sl6.x86_64 package.

1) - install xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.15.0-36.sl6.x86_64
- reboot
- could not plot with ferret

2) - downgrade this package (adding manually Sl 6.6 repos)

yum downgrade xorg-x11-server-Xorg
[skip]

Installed:
   xorg-x11-server-Xorg.x86_64 0:1.15.0-26.sl6

- reboot
- ferret plots works well again

For the moment I could not give more information about that
exactly is broken in xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.15.0-36.sl6.x86_64
if you have some ideas how-to find the source of this problem
your are very welcome.

Some addiitonal info :
* This bug concern the R plotting as well.
See stack's question and answers :
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32303109/r-dev-new-freezes

* The bug didn't concern SL7, probably because it uses 1.15.0-33
version of xorg-x11-server-Xorg
