Isnt the WiFi the Intel Pro 2200 BG ?
In such case just run system-config-network , it shall
see your card.

As for ACPI you may be out of luck with SL: TUV(*)
considers ACPI support (especially on laptops) to be
not stable enough and SL kernels have only some subset
of ACPI implemented (mostly IRQ routing etc ..)
