Hello,
When I try your command I  have next error:
[root@ramona mirrors]# rsync -vaH --delete --exclude=".~tmp~" 
rsync.scientificlinux.org::scientfic/54/x86_64 
/storage/vol_00/repo.grid.uaic.ro/mirrors/sl/5.4/
@ERROR: Unknown module 'scientfic'
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at 
main.c(1296) [receiver=2.6.8]
