   Dear UAF users,

The UAF cluster now has disk mounted at /fnal/uscms.
This file system is the short term disk solution we have
implemented while we pursue a long term global file system
   solution.

The file system has been populated with a copy of the data from
the Ibrix file system with a couple of exceptions:

    1) There were a few user dirs in /fnal/uscms/uaf_data2 and
/fnal/uscms/uaf_data2/uaf. These have been moved to
         /fnal/uscms/home.
    2) The /fnal/uscms/uaf_data2 area will no longer be used and
therefore permissions on the area no longer permit write
       access.
    3) The /fnal/uscms/production area, which was not used on
the UAF, is no longer mounted on the UAF cluster.

Over the weekend we stress tested the system to ensure that
the server could handle analysis load. These tests went well
and we did not see any problems.

As always, if you have questions or concerns about the UAF
and in particular, this new disk please direct them to the helpdesk
or to the [log in to unmask] mail list.
